Shibusa-en proudly offers bonsai and pre-bonsai grown by our bonsai artist, Micah. Our pre-bonsai are grown from seedling with the sole intention of becoming bonsai, meaning that they have attractive movement, good root structure, and advantageous branching.
Shibusa-en occasionally offers in-house handmade ceramics and other bonsai supplies. Most of the items are 1/1, though let us know if you need something specific.
Our bonsai artist, Micah, is available for local, in-person and virtual consultations. From initial styling, refinement, repotting, and design input, Micah is happy to help you continue to improve your collection wherever you’re at in your bonsai journey.

we are
Offering both locally grown and imported trees, our aim at Shibusa-en Bonsai Nursery is to connect you to the beauty of nature and rhythms of the seasons through cultivation of trees in miniature. Bonsai is an entirely unique artform, blending horticulture and sculpture to create living works of art, which in many cases outlive their creator. At Shibusa-en, we want to share this mysterious and rewarding practice, and bring a touch of Japanese aesthetic to the backyards of Saint Louis, MO and beyond~!
